The main objective for establishing and administering an Islamic Institute is to create an ambience for students to improve in moral and educational fields. These conditions will not be met unless the rights of all individuals have been respected. For this reason, this code of conduct has been written.
All students and their families are obliged to adhere to this code, and any breach will be dealt with in accordance with the Governing Rules.
1. GENERAL REGULATIONS:
1. Paying attention to Religious Duties, especially congregational prayers at the right time.
2. Observing moral and social values when interacting with others.
3. Avoiding disturbance, conflict and dispute within and outside the Institute Campus.
4. Brotherly approach in solving any likely disputes and referring them to the Administrator in case of disagreement.
5. Adhering to Islamic modest dress code and appearance as befits the dignity of a Mosque preacher.
6. Avoiding factionalism which may cause differences and divisions amongst students.
2. ACCOMMODATION:
1. Students do not have the right to reside outside the Campus without written permission from the Administrator.
2. Allocation of apartments is the sole responsibility of the Administrator.
3. Audio levels within apartments should be kept at reasonable levels taking into consideration the rights of neighbours.
4. Placing posters, notices and pictures within the Institute Campus is prohibited unless authorized by the Administrator.
5. Students who are on leave of absence of more than 3 months will be expected to clear their apartments of all personal belongings.
3. COMINGS and GOINGS:
1. For security reasons entry to the Institute Campus is restricted to Identity card holders only.
2. Entry for non residents can only be made after obtaining written permission from the Administrator.
3. General silence hours are from 10 pm till one hour before morning call for prayers.
4. Any kind of unnecessary conversations, going back and forth etc during these hours is prohibited.
5. Entry, exit, silence and rest hours can be changed in special circumstances by the Administrator.
4. HEALTH and CLEANLINESS:
1. Observation of health and cleanliness standards within the Institute Campus is mandatory.
2. Leaving utensils and items of clothing in public places is prohibited.
5. OTHERS' RIGHTS:
1. Students must respect and care for the rights of other students at all times.
2. Students must respect and care for the rights of lecturers and other Institute staff at all times.
3. Students must respect and care for the rights of speakers at all gatherings.
6. INSTITUTE PROPERTY:
1. No Institute property shall be moved without consent from the Administrator.
2. Students must protect and care for all the Institute properties.
3. Students are requested to be economical in the usage of water, gas and electricity.
4. Student must report to the administrator any malfunctioning of services. Students must avoid taking personal risks.
5. Protection and care of personal property is the responsibility of the students. The Institute will take no responsibility for damage or loss of any personal property.
7. GENERAL MEETINGS:
1. Participation by all students in announced meetings is compulsory.
2. Students are requested to attend all speech gatherings, celebrations and Ta'ziyas.
3. Permission for organising meetings should be taken from the Administrator.
8. GUESTS:
1. Acceptance of guests is only permitted outside lecture hours and after registering in the book for guests.
2. It is the host's responsibility to ensure that the guests observe the Institute code of conduct.
3. Acceptance of students expelled from the Institute is prohibited.
4. Close relatives of the students can stay one night maximum as a guest at the Institute Campus, provided permission is obtained from the Administrator.
9. HOLIDAY and TRAVEL:
1. Travel within Syria is allowed after written application by the student and written permission by the Administrator.
2. Overseas travel during term time is not permitted except in exceptional circumstances, for a fixed period of time, when
written permission by the Administrator has to be obtained.
3. Unjustified delay by the student in returning from an approved trip will be regarded that he has left the Institute and is no
longer a student.
4. If the student travels without permission it will be regarded that he has left the Institute and is no longer a student.
