Summary of the Four Year Curriculum |
|
The First Year will be dedicated to the correct recitation of the Qur’an and teaching Arabic, which will be the main language of instruction and research for the core curriculum in the following three years.
The Second Year will be dedicated to the study of the foundations in the Islamic Sciences. This will provide a solid platform for the subsequent years of study. In addition Adjunct Professors will begin to deliver the MA level Programme modules via video conferencing.
The Third Year builds on the student’s competences and widens the scope of Islamic Studies to include new areas of Islamic thought. It also prepares students for their critical dissertation.
The Fourth Year aims to allow students to reach a pinnacle in their studies and to achieve the confidence to conduct independent research. The Masters dissertation must be completed during this year.
